Lentil Soup

I have been making this soup since my college days. I love this soup for more reasons than none- its hearty, its easy and it’s just good for when the weather turns cooler- much like chili.

I brown the ground beef and then the sausage.

I then I wash the vegetables and then I cube the potatoes (I leave the skin on for extra nutrition, that’s my opinion but you can peel them if you like- your choice)

throw it in the pot

Then I cut the carrots into bite size pieces, as well as the celery, I also chop up the celery leaves and throw it in the soup for added flavor..

add the bag of lentils along with the included seasoning packet and fill with water (you will have to add more water when the lentils start soaking up the water.)

I cook this all day and watch it through out and add water when necessary.

I serve this with crusty bread.
