I love discovering old family recipes and this one is special to me because it came from my great Aunt Ruth that lived to be 103! She was my grandmother’s youngest sister, the baby of the group. Aunt Ruth was always so happy – she always had a smile on her face and had such a positive attitude that it was a pleasure to be around her. We need more Aunt Ruths right now.
A few years back she let me, and my taste tester, check out her vault of recipes. That was quite the experience! I loved it – her recipes aren’t complicated, very simple to say the least. But that’s what makes family recipes simple, because there’s more time around the table with family and friends to savor each and every moment
